'Chloride from burning plastics behind Delhi fog'

A study led by researchers from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, found that high levels of chloride in the particulate matter in the atmosphere, which is a result from burning plastic waste and a few industrial processes, is primarily responsible for the haze and fog during winters in northern India, particularly Delhi.
