Goalie gets drawn into political game

Amrinder Singh, goalkeeper of the Indian national football team and ATK Mohun Bagan FC in the Indian Super League, is a celebrity in his own right, but his name with one syllable less than the former CM has fortuitously invited a whole lot of unwanted political attention. After being repeatedly tagged by the media and others in heated discussions and speculation about the Punjab turmoil, Amrinder has stood up to protect his “identity” like he would the Indian and ATK goal.
