Late rain brings Delhi ever closer to 1944 record

Parts of the capital received strong showers on Thursday night, which may see Delhi break its all-time record for September rainfall by Friday. The city is expected to see at least a ‘two-week’ delay in the withdrawal of the southwest-monsoon this time around, with Met officials forecasting showers to continue till the first week of October as well.
