1st Test: New Zealand escape with a thrilling draw against India

Debutant Rachin Ravindra impressively held fort for New Zealand to pull off a dramatic draw against India on the final day of the Kanpur Test. The left-handed allrounder played out 91 deliveries for his unbeaten 18, while last man Ajaz Patel faced 23 balls to score 2 not out - the duo negotiated 52 deliveries in all - before bad light ended play 12-13 minutes ahead of scheduled close.
