Foul air: Haryana shuts schools in 4 NCR dists for a wk

The Haryana government on Sunday directed four NCR districts — Gurugram, Faridabad, Jhajjar and Sonipat — to shut down schools and halt construction activity for the next seven days in the wake of deteriorating air quality. The order, in line with a similar directive by the Delhi government on Saturday, was issued by additional chief secretary SN Roy.
