Brics summit: EAM backs 2-state solution to Palestine crisis

Foreign minister S Jaishankar addressed the Brics leaders, treading carefully on the Gaza crisis. He blamed the Hamas attacks for the current situation but also called for the concerns of the Palestinian people to be addressed. EAM emphasized the need for a two-state solution and condemned civilian deaths and terrorism. In the recent case of the UN resolution, which was on a humanitarian truce, India opted to abstain as there are lack of condemnation of Hamas attacks.
