Baloch activists protesting against ‘extra-judicial killings’ arrested

Baloch nationalists protesting against extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in Balochistan were arrested and blocked from entering Islamabad. The police used water cannons and tear gas on the demonstrators and took women protestors to women police stations. The protesters had reached Islamabad after a long march from Turbat district. The police blamed the protesters for creating law and order problems. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan condemned the violent police crackdown and demanded the unconditional release of all detainees.
