Relief for UK's Sunak as MP's vote in favor of Rwanda migration bill

UK lawmakers voted in favor of the government's plans to send migrants to Rwanda, despite objections from human rights monitors and a Supreme Court ruling declaring it illegal under international law. The Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill, supported by 313 MPs, aims to eliminate legal challenges to deportation orders and declare Rwanda a safe destination. However, it has caused division within Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's Conservative party, with some right-wing Tories calling for stronger proposals. The bill's passage is expected to face further political challenges with planned amendments in January.
